Look Years Younger With These Beauty Make-Up Tips
Beauty make up tips to look years younger. We may be 40 yrs plus women however there are several beauty make up tips and tricks to allow a mature woman to conceal her age effectively and look years younger. A new approach is needed for our make-up as our skin matures. After the skin is properly prepared (cleansed and moisturized) apply make up as follows: - Use concealer generously to cover up any aging lines or blemishes.
- A creamy, dewy foundation is best so it doesn’t gather in the lines on our face. A lighter-textured base that matches your skin tone is a must.
- Use a highlighter, lighter shade of foundation or a concealer to de-emphasize jowls, the hollows or lines that run from the edge of the nose to the corner of the mouth.
- Use a non-frosted powder under the chin to de-emphasize the loose skin on the neck. Choose a shade slightly darker than your natural skin tone.
- I advocate not using a loose translucent powder on the face as they are ageing and drying and will accentuate lines. If you feel you must use powder, apply with a powder brush only once in the morning to set your makeup.
- To frame the eyes, use a soft eyebrow pencil that matches your hair color.
- Frosted eye shadows should usually be avoided as they can draw too much attention to saggier and loose eyelids. Use the lightest shade of a matt eye shadow under your brow, a darker one close to your lashes and the darkest on the crease and blend them properly.
- Choose warmer and richer shades like chestnuts and bronzes to highlight eyes. Blends of pink and gray eye shadows soften graying hair. For evenings, try smudging charcoal eye pencil close to the eyelashes.
- Two coats of plumping mascara will give the finishing touch to the eyelashes and open the eyes.
- Use blushes in golden almond to pink tones and blend them gently across the high cheekbones to temples in an arc for a soft transparent effect, giving you an instant face lift.
- A method to line the lips instead of using a lip liner pencil is to use a stiff bristled brush and blush. This helps your lip color to last and also prevents it from bleeding or feathering.
- Use soft matte lip colors in pink, berry, coral or peach shades to make your lips fuller.
- Apply a lip gloss to the centre of your lips to accentuate fullness and plump up your pout.

Using this application of make up, my face appears thinner and the emphasis is on my eyes rather than the 'looser' skin around the jawline.
The above picture shows a natural look, using paler hues. For evening, use richer colours on the eyes for a more dramatic effect. Lightly brush below the cheekbones with a bronzer before skimming the high cheekbones with blush.
Using the above beauty make up tips when applying make-up will instantly make your face look more youthful, and of course, absolutely fabulous. Have fun with it!
