Anti Ageing Facial Exercises fight Wrinkles in the battle against ageing
Facial Exercise Anti-Ageing Tips. We should perform daily facial exercises to reduce the appearance of wrinkles in the anti ageing battle. As we know, we cannot stop wrinkles as they are part of the ageing process, however we can delay their onset, or at least reduce their severity. We could spend enormous amounts of money on creams and lotions to keep our skin moist but all these products are not the answer to beautiful, wrinkle free skin. The skin reflects what is going on in your mind and body as it is a mirror of your general health. Facial exercises are one of the best ways to move forward in the anti ageing process. Facial muscles are toned and blood flow to your skin is improved which assists in delaying the skin from sagging and wrinkling.
These exercises should be performed slowly and once each day. They will seem a little difficult at first, however with practice you will find them easier to perform. Ensure you apply a moisturiser for the eye and chin exercises so you avoid increasing the depth of existing lines. The forehead exercise may be done without any added cream.
Toning the Eye area:
With elbows placed on a table, use your index fingers and press two pieces of folded tissue over the outer eye area (crows-feet zone). Lower your chin until it touches your chest and, keeping it in place, raise your eyes to look straight ahead. Bring your bottom eyelids up towards your upper ones using 5-10 definite steps and then hold the eyes closed for several seconds.
Concentrate on working against the pressure of your fingers. Lower the lids in the same definite steps and rest for a further few seconds. Repeat a couple of times, and then do again without the added pressure.
Toning the Cheeks and Chin: Give me a smile with your lips closed. Now extend your lower jaw as far forward as possible. Holding the jaw forward, move it from side to side six times. Repeat this ten times. Smile again with your lips closed. The corners of your lips are turned up. Now keeping the lips closed, give a kiss. Hold each position for 5 seconds and repeat six times. With your head tilted backwards slightly, draw your lips into a tight ‘o’ shape then turn your lips into a downward smile and then back to the ‘o’ shape. Repeat six times.Try this one. Push your chin forward and slightly up as far as possible. Now poke out your tongue. Feel the tightening up the front of the upper throat and into the jaw line. Hold for 10 seconds. Repeat up to ten times. (Note: These exercises do not help if you laugh too much!)
Toning the Forehead:
Lift your forehead up and in 5-10 controlled steps, open your eyes as wide as you can. Hold for 6 seconds and then slowly release. Repeat six times.
