- Pamper Yourself. Take time out, whether it be to go out with a friend, visit your hairdresser or visit a salon or day spa and have a massage. A good massage in conjunction with 'mood music' will eliminate the most common effects of stress such as severe muscle tension particularly in the neck, shoulders and calves.
- Dietary supplements. There are numerous supplements today that promise a miracle cure, however anything that assists in raising the serotonin levels may be beneficial. Some mild drugs may also be useful however beware of the risk of simply masking the underlying problem which causes the stress in the first instance.
